I'M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR REASONS, I GOT NO ONE TO BELIEVE IN you ask for my love then you push
me around, so here's to you and your temper as soon as the last bell had rung for the weekend, ryleigh was out of her seat. she didn't really want to go home, as her father ordered every weekend, and she didn't want to stay and hang around school after hours -- so she headed for the park. the park had always been somewhere ryleigh could get away, even if she was living in a dorm now. the weekends were tough, because her father made her come home to visit him. not that he was far away. about a five minute drive, fifteen minute walk. the park was halfway between her father's house and the school, so it was on her way anyway. stopping couldn't have been that much of a hastle.
she'd entered the park by this point, making her way down the cement path that wound it's way in and out of the trees in the large grass area. several kids were playing and she could hear their screeches of laughter and she smiled slightly, though her cheeks did not pucker with the sign of her dimples. once she'd reached the swings, she smiled a little more that all four were empty. obviously kids had found something more fun than swinging to do on the enormous playground located in the center of the park. she set her schoolbag down next to the swingset and sat down on the one closest to her bag, lightly rocking herself back and forth. she pumped her legs a little harder until she was actually swinging. she could feel the crisp autumn air pushing her hair behind her, whipping the skin on her cheeks. she closed her eyes and imagined she was flying, a small child again. she was five years old, carefree, childish, and so small. she slowed her swinging so it was a light rocking, but kept her eyes closed as she breathed in the fresh fall air.
lately, her father hadn't been so bad. he hasn't been as angry as he used to be, therefore his beatings weren't as bad. but ryleigh knew exactly what today was, which is the main reason why she was dreading going home for the weekend. today, or rather, tonight, would be the anniversary that ryleigh's mother left them. her father never seemed to let it go the way ryleigh had. she'd given up trying get in touch with her a while ago, so it really didn't matter to her anymore. it probably didn't matter that much to ryleigh because she didn't remember her mother leaving or what it was like with her around, really. her father did, though. her father was in love with her, and she just...left him. she broke his heart. but, that is not a legitimate reason to beat his daughter. she knew that when she went home, she'd face him after a week of not seeing him, and he'd be in so much pain from just remembering that night that he'd have drunken so much alcohol that a lightweight like ryleigh would probably have been dead. he's drink until his body was numb and felt light, like he could fly.
feeling this way was good for him in a way. he didn't have to hurt just because of what ryleigh's mother did. but still, no reason to hurt ryleigh. she knew that when she opened that door tonight, he'd be sitting in his recliner. he'd yell at her for being late and then she'd get hit even more, just for sitting at the park. it just made her want to stay out later, stay away from home longer. because she didn't know if she'd even be able to get up tomorrow morning. at this point in time, she didn't have very many bruises. she was greatful for this, because it as easier to pick things out to wear when she didn't have to make sure they all covered the injuries. she actually looked normal at this point. a normal teenage girl. just a sixteen year old, no more, no less. if only appearance was what mattered.

there was only you and me we were young and wild and free Normally Alexandra was psyched to go home and spend time with her family but lately she'd felt left out and not wanted to be included in family games and stuff. It was starting to reel back on her past habits and her parents werent seeing just how bad off she was. Usually she would try much harder to not go back to old habits and drop down under her good wieght for being 16 she was smaller then most girls her age it wasnt right and her mother didnt notice which made it worse on alexandra. Ignoring the fact that it was wrong to blame her parents she felt it was needed to just do something to be noticed. Taking a deep breath she left the classroom as carefully to not run into anybody knowing her bones would break with in seconds of being crashed into she really didnt want a broken bone right now. Stuffing her books into her locker it was the weekend maybe just maybe they'd do something as a family rather then oh say leave alex home alone and go have fun like per usual. She hated living at home and luckily she getting a dorm.
Exiting the school building she headed away from it and made sure she didnt run into anyone she knew at least not right now she didnt want to be asked how she was doing and end up spilling her issues. She wasnt a girl to play for the sympathy card it wasnt all about her and the world didnt revolve around miss alexandra. Putting her sunglasses over her eyes she crossed her arms against her chest and basically hugged herself limply. Watching where she was going she decided to head for the park it was the best spot to be on a nice sunny day and she hoped maybe she'd run into ryles and hang out for a bit before either one of them had to go home and face family or much less parents that didnt like to acknowledge the existance much like her mother since her fathers death and remarriage to adam jacobs the worst stepfather ever and most likely uncle to her long lost twin sister or so she was hoping. A sigh of breath left the brunettes mouth as she arrived at the park moments later. Pulling out her cell she texted adrienne stating her current location.
Knowing addy would tell her parents where she was incase they oh so happened to wonder where the brunette was. Entering the park she dropped her cellphone back in her jacket pocket and pulled it off her arms before reaching the swingset and dropping it down on the ground. Turning her head she caught a glimpse of her friend on the swing right beside her. Smiling lightly she sat on the swing and turned her head to face her best friend. Hey Ryles she managed before started pumping her legs. Keeping low swinging movement she kept looking at her friend. How was last class for you? she asked curiously the two hadnt been in the same class for awhile since Alexandra had been sick for awhile and then dropped the course because of her mark being so low. She had hated dropping it but it was needed and she wanted to pass and move to the junior year. Waiting for Ryleigh to answer Alexandra stopped swinging long enough to check a reply from her cousin/sister. Sending one back she dropped her cellphone on top her jacket laying on the ground and turned her head sideways to see Ryleigh smiling at her.

I'M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR REASONS, I GOT NO ONE TO BELIEVE IN you ask for my love then you push
me around, so here's to you and your temper ryleigh looked up at the sound of someone approaching and smiled when she saw it was one of her good friends, alexandra. she looked down at her feet and dug the toes of her shoes into the woodchips that covered the ground surrounding the swingset. "hey alex," she said, looking quickly to her side and at her friend, and then turning her gaze back to her feet.
she pushed her feet a little bit and made her swing move back and forth a bit more. how was last class for you? alexandra asked. ryleigh shrugged, not really knowing how to answer it. "okay, i guess. it's still school," she said, laughing a little even if it was a weak attempt at it. school wasn't that bad, really. she just didn't like getting up early to go learn and all that. she used to love going to school, just because it was how she got out of her house and away from her father. now, it wasn't that big of a deal because she lived at her dorm during the week, so it was easier to get away from her father now. at least she didn't have to worry every day about her father, at least she didn't have to be scared every day for when her father came home. now he just came home to an empty house, and it probably depressed him more. which would explain why the weekends were so much rougher than they used to be. before they moved to dublin.
the sixteen year girl noticed how the dirt from under the new woodchips was getting on the toes of her shoes. she wouldn't care, but her father had always been a neat freak. like, if her bedroom was the least bit messy, he'd yell at her until she'd clean it up, and then he'd hit her. she'd get in trouble for forgetting to take the wet clothes out of the washing machine and put them into the dryer before going to sleep. her father was also a very opinionated person. he thought that women were supposed to do the cooking, the cleaning, the housework and all that. so what did her father do during the week when ryleigh couldn't cook for him? he'd stay out at a bar and grill or something all night, eat, drink, and then go home. ryleigh was stuck doing all the housework and all that, and with her father so particular, he was a difficult person to please. when she made chicken for dinner, it was always under done or over done. if she made pasta, it wasn't soft enough or hard enough. the sauce didn't have enough tomato chunks, the soup didn't have enough potatoes. there always had to be something wrong.
maybe that's why ryleigh isn't like her father, because she didn't like the way he treated her just because his potato wasn't cooked long enough. she wasn't a very particular person, and the small things didn't matter to her, really. but, when it comes to cleanliness, ryleigh is a bit of a freak now. she's been scared into keeping everything unnaturally clean, tidy, organized. it's become a habit of her's now. if something in her room is out of place, she can't stand to sit there and stare at it or ignore it or anything. it has to be fixed, right then and there. you could call it ocd, but we're just going to call it 'being particular.' ryleigh doesn't like being called ocd, because obsessive compulsive disorder is a lot more drastic. she can live with something being out of it's place, she just would rather it be in it's place.
after a few moments of letting her mind wander, she turned her head back to her friend and let the corners of her mouth curl up into a grin. "and you? excited for the weekend?" she inquiried. it sounded like something a sixteen year old girl would say, right? any teenager, right? every kid is excited for school to get out for the two days they have off near the end of the week, so it was a harmless question for most. if someone asked ryleigh that, she'd risk it and do her best at lying about how excited she was to have the weekend to spend time with her dad and talk about how they're going to go back up to solon soon and visit their old friends and all that. about how this weekend they're taking a trip to six flags and their picking ryleigh's half brother up on the way and they're all going to have good old family fun. now, almost everyone that knew ryleigh knew that she was a terrible liar, but that doesn't neccesarily mean that they know when she's lying. so they could very well take her lie as the truth and laugh and say that it sounds like a lot of fun, hanging out with her family. they'd say it in a sarcastic voice, though, because they probably hated spending time with their non screwed up family because they were so lame. but ryleigh wanted so badly just to have a father that wasn't a drunk, that didn't hit her and a mother that actually cared enough to call and try to find her daughter that she left those many years ago. a brother that payed enough attention to notice the bruises that have been appearing on ryleigh, but that one isn't exactly his fault because he doesn't live at home or even in town anymore.

we sign our cards and letters BFF you got a million ways to make me laugh Looking
around the park she smiled lightly taking in a deep breath of fresh air it was pretty chilly but felt nice on the face unlike other days in the city. Alexandra usually wasnt one to complain about weather, school or regular things like other girls her age. Rubbing her eyes she was still very tired from not sleeping so much the night before, the tossing and turning really had her up all night, some wonder why she had such a problem? She of course felt she had insomnia but her mother being the stupid airhead alexandra thought she was didnt say anything and didnt think alexandra needed to be checked out for such issues. Of course her mother was dumb enough to not see anything around her except the man she called her stepfather. Moving her swing back and forth tilting her head to see Ryleigh as she swang along side her smiling was over-rated or at least alex thought so. Oddly people did smile alot and really alex hated her smile it showed her dimples and her cheekbones really bad. At her friends response she nodded lightly as if agreeing it wasnt to bad but still school definitely.Of course alexandra happened to be not much of a talker oddly enough she really was quiet but when around friends she opened her mouth and actually spoke an opinion except right now with Ryleigh she was being extra quiet. Wonder why? well dont ask her she wasnt sure why she didnt know what to say half the time. Moving her hand from the side of the swing she ran it through her hand and back to the swing to keep herself from falling off and turned her head to face her friend. Definitely she muttered with a nod of her head to her last comment about the school thing. Alexandra was speechless at how quiet it was the park was usually where she unwounded after a day of school and just let loose. But today she unfortunately had her psych visit today in about 2 hours she definitely didnt want to go. Unfortunately she had no way of getting out of it unless she wanted to end up back in the rehab center which she didnt especially because of the nurse she had been stuck with. Sighing lightly she leaned back and swung her legs turning to face Ryleigh.Looking around the park she heard her phone go off leaning forward she got up off the swing rather then falling flat on her face in the gravel below the swingset. Picking up her phone she replied to adrienne and told her she'd be home in time to go to the stupid doctors office she really didnt want to but missing it would entrail a rehab visit for at least a month to make sure she wasnt falling back into the old habits. Putting her phone back on her jacket she sat back on the swing and nodded her head no at Ryleigh's question of the weekend she definitely wasnt looking forward to friday night events especially in two hours. Heaving a sigh of annoyance she turned to her friend. Not really i have a doctor visit today she replied pushing herself back and forth on the swing Ryleigh knew more about her doctor visits and stuff like that then alexandra knew about her but alex wasnt one to pry into peoples business especially her friends. She wanted her friends to be able to trust her and tell her things when they needed to and not worry about anyone knowing.Stopping the swing she roamed her eyes around the park she hadnt been so freaking quiet around ryleigh in forever why the hell start now? she wasnt sure maybe it was fact being she was falling back into old habits and not eating for the past week she wasnt sure but it could be that. Shaking the thought out of her head she focused on Ryleigh a bit. so whats the weekend plans for you? she asked her friend curious as to what she was doing probably something a hell of a lot better then going to see a psychologist. Closing her eyes against the cold air she took a deep breath she wanted to spit out what she was holding back from her friend but telling her friend she needed to go back to rehab again she was scared of that place especially the nurse practically forcing her to eat something. Shaking her head again she looked around the park, silence never settled with alexandra very well and today was no different then any other day. Even in class she hadnt answered much refusing to answer questions just not wanting to say something wrong and be laughed at time after time again.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] tagged ryleigh marino word 800 outfit this here notes zOMG i suck :[ song true friend by miley cyrus cred banner to caution, song to miley, template to me

I'M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR REASONS, I GOT NO ONE TO BELIEVE IN you ask for my love then you push
me around, so here's to you and your temper ryleigh nodded as her friend said, 'definitely.' not that she really agreed, because school was really all she had that didn't involve her father. god, she had to go home. she actually had to go home. she was going to be screwed if she went home, that was for sure. she didn't know how badly he'd hit her or how angry he'd be. maybe he'd take today and mourn, just mourn. sit in his home office and drink and watch tv. as much as ryleigh wished he would, she knew he wouldn't. she knew that as soon as her father saw him, he'd break. maybe he'd been planning to do that tonight, but the minute he'd see ryleigh's face he'd freak out. she looked exactly like her, according to her father. it's like he thought if he hit her hard enough, he could mold her face to look differently. like the harder he hit her, the more different she'd look the next day. which was true, because bruises certainly do change one's appearance.
when alex mentioned her doctor's appointment, she nodded. she couldn't exactly empathize with this, but she understood. "well, look on the bright side: it doesn't last all weekend, right?" she said, laughing a little bit silently. it wasn't a real laugh, it just seemed to go with what she was saying. ryleigh hadn't actually laughed, like really laughed, for a long time. at least her doctor's appointment didn't last the whole weekend? that was ryleigh trying to be optimistic, because she didn't know how it felt to have to go a psychiatrist or anything. she would certainly trade having to go to a psychiatrist for getting beaten at the end of the day, but she wasn't really able to choose between the two, was she?
the next thing that alex changed the subject to was ryleigh's plans for the weekend. she knew that she shouldn't try one of her big lies, because she was afraid her good friend would see right through her, because she wasn't sure how easily ryleigh was to read. she knew she was a terrible liar, but only her closest friends would be able to really tell when she was actually lying. she wasn't sure if alexandra had figured out when she was or wasn't yet, but just in case, she'd stick to a small lie. she looked away from her friend and back down at her feet, because she knew she couldn't lie to anyone's face, ever. it was just too difficult. she focused on her feet, the toes of her shoes digging into the woodchips and the dirt as she pushed her toes to the ground and let her body move backwards a little bit on the swing. she moved forward after, and back again. "uh, nothing, really. we..might go visit my brother. i'm..not sure yet. " she said, her slow lips stumbling over the words as they came out of her mouth. her voice kind of broke near the end, but she hoped alex wouldn't notice, and if she did she would think nothing of it.
