There was brief moment of silence as a halfling was thrown across the Great Hall of King Gilkemsh. Lothor was in the back, rolling out of the halfling's way as he prepared to blast the wiked ruler. Within moment a great translucent blue beast appeared, breaking forth from the stain glass window exonerating Gilkemsh rise to power. With giant wings it swooped in as talons raked across the ruler.
"Okay thats...240 damage and it's your turn." Morgan said, his Summoner done with his turn. "Hasina is currently 50 feet away from him, and you still have Bigby's protecting Hands, Malichia's poisoned Bastard Sword, which is +5 masterwork. Your Bronze Dragon, 'Shiny' as you named it, still has a wounded wing from an icy blast and can only fly three-quarters what he normally would." He started counting down the seconds to Helen's next tirade of complaints.

Helen had her wooden library chair leaned back on it's back two legs as she listened to Morgan describe what was going on in the current fight in the Great Hall of King Gilkmesh. While listening, she continued to roll a d20 around in her hand. She liked playing the game Dungeons and Dragons, true, it was fun and it allowed her to yell about killing things. Sometimes she would act out how she killed things, sometimes a bad thing, considering Morgan never liked it when she did it in public. Well, whatever, it was what she did and she wasn't going to change it.
She finally perked up when Morgan was done with his turn. Her blue eyes glanced from Morgan to the character sheet layed out on the table. She dropped her chair back onto all four feet and hunched over the sheet. "Okay, my turn? Are you sure?" She asked, glancing up at the dirty blonde guy sitting across from her. "Or do you need to do fifty-hundred more calculations to things?" Helen wasn't all that big of a fan of the 3.5 edition of the game, it seemed to complex to get something done. Which was why she found the new 4th edition so much better, it seemed streamlined. She jiggled the d20 around in her hand and dropped it onto the table. "Okay, seventeen," She said, glancing over the character sheet. "Uh... what do I add again?" Helen asked, her eyebrows scrunching slightly.
Oh! Wait!" She excalimed, sitting straight up, her dusky brunette hair bounching on her shoulders. "I gotta tell you what I'm doing first." She held up her arms and started to flap them and she explained, "Okay, I want Shiny to fly me towards the guy, so I can jump off of him and attack the guy with my Bastard Sword," She stopped to smile at that and continued, "And then I want Shiny to blast him with his breath weapon, sound good?" If Morgan had a problem with that, well then, he could just shove it where the sun don't shine and where his boyfriends liked to vacation. [/blockquote]

"Well 'Shiny' can do that on his turn, and you have to make a handle animal check to make sure he follows your orders." Morgan said, not bothering to ask her keep her voice low, they were in a library after all. "It's a melee attack so your going to be adding your strength, +5 for masterwork, Your also going to roll for your 'Lucks Favor' feat and add that to your attack roll. Then for the damage you'll be doing you roll a d12, add +5 masterwork, +3d6 poison, and whatever you get for Luck's favor."
Morgan had gotten used to her always asking what she needed to do to get the effect she desired, and it was really annoying since she seemed to not want to follow the rules. "And after we beat this guy for encroaching on the land Hasina's Grandfather wanted to conquer we can switch your 4.0 campaign, since I can tell you really want to play that."

Helen lifted an eyebrow and sighed. "Say what? I thought Shiny loved me? Doesn't he?" She asked, making her tone of voice sound hurt. She slowly lifted up her left hand and flipped Morgan the bird. Helen knew Shiny loved her, that was all that mattered. She then listened as Morgan rattled off what to add to the seventeen she had rolled... She slowly lowered her left hand and then started to count off what to add with her fingers.
"Uh, Morgan, you're the walking calculator, why don't you add that up for me? K?" Helen asked him, flashing him a quick smile and fluttering her eyelashes at him. She had never been very good at math and that was the one downside to DnD, all the freakin' math that was involved in making the game work smoothly. She scratched her head slightly an perked up at what Morgan said.
"Freakin' sweet. You know what we need? More people to pay this game." Helen said with a smile chuckle. She knew that basically only she and Morgan played the game, but it would still be pretty cool to have other people to mess around with. Sure, Helen had other people she hung around with, but she could never be as nerdy around them as she was with Morgan. [/blockquote]

"Ugh..." Morgan said as Helen flipped him off. He dealt with this regularly with Helen, no matter what they were doing. And for some reason he never strayed from her. Hell the guest room at her house was practically his second room.
He did a few quick rolls for her, "Well that's another 200 damage, and Gilkemsh is poisoned." Morgan said, not really bothering with description right now. "He curses our names as he is enveloped in smoke and disappears."
And DnD really was a game for 4-8 players, but sadly he only had Helen as a willing participant. "Maybe we can post something in the hallway, or maybe a Myspace message, that's what alot of students have right? Anyways, lets get started with your campaign."
